It was great to be in Titchfield with Margaret Paren (CPRE Hampshire Chair) this morning as we launched Hedgerow Heroes. The project is not just about creating more hedgerows for wildlife, it’s also about preserving countryside skills which are at risk of being lost.
What a splendid day for the first ever Petersfield Ecofair! It was great to see so many people connecting and having fun. I thought local singer Josie Haskins was just amazing. 😎 @ Petersfield Lake https://t.co/bPnm9ZwLSs
Amazing pink moon over Butser Hill at 0530 this morning. A full moon in April was called a pink moon by native Americans because it heralded the bloom of wildflowers. #southdowns
Just got round to reading the Govt’s 10 point plan for a Green Industrial Revolution (...it’s been a busy week!). Great to see the strong commitment to re-wilding in our National Parks. There’s a huge amount we can do in the South Downs with the right subsidies. V. exciting! 🌳
I was at the Seven Sisters Country Park on Tuesday and was lucky enough to see the sun come up at the Cuckmere Valley. It was quite amazing to witness...So glad this place is part of the South Downs National Park and will be properly protected for future generations...!
It was a glorious morning at Queen Eleanor’s Garden in Winchester and the perfect spot to remember the great bravery and moral clarity of Emmeline Pankhurst. I was happy to be there and just wish my daughter had woken up in time to join me..! 😎 https://t.co/B6FAQAvdrb

The pieces fit! Members of the @sdnpa South Downs National Park Authority getting hands on experience today of events work - active ambassadors for our National Park
Really pleased to have qualified as an Autism Ambassador yesterday after a fascinating day’s training...We have a lot to do to make society work better for people with autism and their families. It is great that Hampshire County Council is leading the way. #Thinkautism
@sewateruk Good idea but I think you have to follow me before I can DM you! Or my email address is on the Hampshire County Council website at https://t.co/aHepJG6FV1 Thanks Holly.
@sewateruk The works took place some months ago when the daffodils were still underground. The damage only became apparent when the daffodils did not emerge in the Spring. Perhaps we could have a site visit with my residents who planted them?
@sewateruk Thanks Holly. On Farnham Road the area most affected has been around the Auction Sales room and opposite the Plestor. The cost of replanting bulbs will be around £250 and this can be paid to Liss Parish Council. We hope this can be arranged. Russell
We want every child to have the best start in life and every generation to do better than the last - the new schemes announced today will help parents to support their children in reading and language development at an early age https://t.co/WBY4DX4hbO
Fantastic to see kids being taught IT skills in the new computer room at Liss Junior School today. Cllrs Kendall, Budden and I felt our grant awards had been put to very good use! Thumbs up!
It was inspiring to meet Homestart Butser volunteers in Liss - they make such a difference to families experiencing hard times. I was also delighted to present certificates to new volunteers completing their training. Homestart is an amazing organisation doing important work.
