@groundforyudai If not you can look into spaced repetition. We offer it already setup for Chinese, but you can also do it with flashcards or with other programs as well. Essentially just making that recall when you would be most likely to forget something as opposed to when the next lesson is
@groundforyudai I get that, I meant more between those sessions with the teacher are you doing anything optimized to recall what you learned? That would probably be the biggest efficiency gain both in terms of time and money
@instwtnogoi have you tried spaced repetition? you can give HanyuGuide a try, we have an algorithm to show you characters when you are most likely to forget them so you can review daily and learn new words without losing vocabulary studied long ago
@hurbles SRS + immersion, I would recommend a structured course to get started and then keep practicing handwriting until you know about 500 or so characters to help with learning the radicals and differentiation as the returns become diminishing for your time beyond that
@swiftieiros Suzhou is very nice. I found Huzhou much more relaxing since there are far less crowds, but the public transit isn't as convenient. Wuxi was also great.
@puffercatt have you tried SRS at all? it helps a lot with character recognition, I was in a similar spot hitting a wall until I spammed SRS + immersion
@Xipe711427 HanyuGuide's HSK1 course may be helpful to you, we have full vocab coverage, grammar guides, and are rolling out a structured course as well :) best of luck on the exam
@bebababebah If you want to work on character recognition, it may be good to have SRS. SRS + immersion was what brought me to efficiency. You can try at https://t.co/sTnFnhuG5T
