I spent nearly 1 month going from idea → research → build → full deployment. Here's what I made:
🌊 ArcStream — Real-Time USDC Payment Protocol on Arc
The problem I wanted to solve
Traditional payment systems work on a simple but broken model: work first, get paid later.
Work 30 days, wait until end of month for your salary. Deliver the project, then hope the client pays. Send the invoice, then sit and wait.
During all of that time, money stays in the payer's hands — and the person who did the work has nothing but trust.
Freelancers get ghosted after delivering. Remote workers take out loans to cover the month. Clients pay upfront and the contractor disappears. This happens every day, in every market. It's a trust problem that no middleman has fully solved.
How ArcStream fixes it
ArcStream is the first USDC payment streaming protocol on Arc — a Layer-1 blockchain purpose-built for stablecoins — with 2 payment modes:
💧 Stream — Pay by the second, automatically
Money flows every second, non-stop, without anyone needing to do anything.
Instead of waiting until payday, a remote worker can withdraw their earned salary at any moment. The employer locks USDC into a smart contract — it can't be withheld, delayed, or reversed.
Best for: monthly salaries, retainers, ongoing services, remote workers.
🔒 Escrow — Pay when the work is done
Funds are locked safely in a smart contract. The client releases payment once they confirm the work is complete. If something goes wrong, 100% refund — instantly.
Freelancers no longer have to worry about getting ghosted. Clients no longer have to worry about paying for nothing. No trust required — the smart contract is the middleman.
Best for: freelance projects, fixed deliverables, one-time payments.
Why build on Arc?
Arc uses USDC as its native token — not ETH, not a meme coin. Every transaction is denominated in real stablecoin, fees are near zero, and finality is under 1 second.
This is infrastructure actually designed for real payment applications — not retrofitted.
Tech stack
Smart contracts: Solidity + OpenZeppelin, deployed on Arc Testnet
Frontend: Next.js 14 + Tailwind CSS + wagmi v2
Wallet: MetaMask + RainbowKit
Hosting: Vercel — no server, no maintenance, always on
Languages: English / Vietnamese
Current status
The app is live on Arc Testnet — completely free to try. Get testnet USDC at https://t.co/ukmvPs3jzW and start streaming in under 5 minutes.
When Arc launches mainnet, this is the kind of app that works on day one.
Built using vibe coding with Claude. But the idea, the product thinking, and understanding the real problem — that's the part no AI can do for you.
