@forrest_svc @marissaml_ It would be virtually impossible to create exams based on each individual test-takers needs. I think a better approach would be to implement both open & closed book exams in every course. I just do not believe open book can or should replace closed book exams.

@marissaml_ Starting to realize more and more that our generation wants EVERYTHING handed to them. No one wants to be challenged anymore. Everything has to be insanely easy if not it must be changed. 🙄 The entitlement is real. I see why success is only for some.

But to say that one should replace the other is preposterous. I can agree that both are needed for well- roundness. (2)

@JLMaskie @marissaml_ I can agree. Open-note exams are good for critical thinking/problem-solving. Closed book exams serve the purpose of helping to retain important information long-term which is needed no matter what profession.
