I support the GNU because it has strengthened accountability, there seems to be greater focus on fixing governance and linking funding to performance and service delivery.
Municipalities have become politicised. Gone are the days when they were public institutions serving citizens. They have become vehicles for political patronage, with even municipal branding changing to reflect the party in power.
