"Does anyone still remember me?": Dr. Hussam Abu Safieh's cry from inside prison
Dr. Hussam Abu Safieh, detained in Israeli prisons since December 2024 and subjected to severe torture for refusing to abandon his patients, is appealing to the world for help through his lawyer.
Food from stores is 4.8%.
The 7.3% includes food from restaurants, which is skewed because of last year’s GST holiday.
Scheer knows this, but he’s lying to you because he thinks you’re stupid.
The wife of Dr. Hossam Abu Safieh is pleading with the world to intervene urgently to save his life, asserting that "his only crime was saving the lives of the wounded," and demanding immediate action before he dies in prison.
Don't let this become just another news item; talk about it.
#Heartbroken: Afghan women have the “right” to beg in the freezing cold, but not the right to education or work under the Taliban. Millions are raised in their name, yet hunger and suffering continue. Where is the accountability? Where is the UN?

Day 1,615 of #Afghan women being deprived of their basic right to an education.
The Taliban's ban on secondary education for girls was meant to be temporary. But more than four years on, they show no signs of reversing their policy to erase women from public life.
You are not forgotten.
#LetAfghanGirlsLearn
The women and girls of Afghanistan. At the UN, during a session on women’s sport, the Taliban delegation arrived and demanded that all women be removed from the room. The UN complied. When Afghan women are erased even at the highest global platform. #FreeAfghanWomen
I want to say this clearly.
In Ukraine, almost everyone understands Russian. Not everyone fully understands Ukrainian. That is the reality created by decades of history, policy, and forced Russification.
I recently had a woman from Canada shout at me for speaking Russian during a space. I was translating for a Ukrainian soldier who only speaks Russian. He told her himself:
“I am a Ukrainian soldier. I only speak Russian.”
Around 60 percent of the soldiers we train speak Ukrainian. Many do not. I wish every Ukrainian spoke Ukrainian. Many Ukrainians wish the same. But language does not determine loyalty, courage, or sacrifice.
This country was forced for decades to operate in Russian. That did not change people’s identity. These men and women are Ukrainian. They are fighting, bleeding, and dying for Ukraine, regardless of the language they speak.
Please understand that reality before passing judgment.
God bless all of you🥰
I’m from Donbas.
Cold apartments don’t scare me.
What scares me
Is when people get used to our suffering.
So I keep writing.
So you don’t forget
We’re still alive.
@sappholives83 This is awful and it is wrong, but it is not Islam any more than the polygamist cults that trafficked young women in Utah and British Columbia were Christianity. They are fundamentalist cults, which tend to be terrible no matter which religion they say they follow.
😡 The Taliban has banned women from speaking to one another. Khalid Hanafi, Taliban’s minister for virtue and vice, declared it forbidden for adult women to let their voices be heard by other women, further restricting existing bans on speaking and showing their faces in public.
