Your attitude is colored by:
What you think
What you do
What you see
What you read
What you know
What you want
What you feel
What you hear

Leading isn't easy. All eyes are on you. However, what counts the most is what you do or say when no one can see you. Ethical behavior has to start at the top of the chain of command.
When you are correcting an employee, are you being punitive or proactive? Punitive corrections tend to demotivate employees while proactive corrections encourage growth and understanding. It's important to give them the opportunity to grow and learn from a mistake.
The best advice I've ever received was to listen to understand rather than to respond. You'll find that you're responses are far more calculated and less reactionary.

Change self to satisfy others
dwelling on things you canโt change
overlooking what you have and think you have nothing
putting up with negative people and negative thinking
