The Duchess of Edinburgh, joined by The Duke of Edinburgh, unveiled ‘The Plants with Purpose Garden’ at The Royal Windsor Flower Show this week.
🌳 Co‑designed by Her Royal Highness and Alan Williams, the garden showcases the importance of healthy soil, planting for pollinators, and encouraging people to consider more thoughtfully how food is grown.
The Duchess joined dedicated volunteers to help build the garden in the days before the show.
🌻This summer, the plants and garden features will be repurposed for local schools participating in a new RWHS Nature Studies Programme, extending the garden’s impact into outdoor learning.

The house of Dior is deeply saddened by the death of Bernadette Chirac. A remarkable woman, she was also a great friend of our House. In 1995, she chose to give Dior the opportunity of presenting Diana, Princess of Wales with a handbag as a gift. From this gesture, the iconic Lady Dior was born.
An independent director of the LVMH Group board since 2010, she brought to the role clarity of judgement, experience and a spirit of autonomy, qualities that were greatly admired. A woman of conviction as well as discretion, her humility was matched only by her generosity, intelligence and kindness.
We extend our sincerest condolences to her daughter Claude, her son Martin, and her entire family.
