They've thrived in these waters thanks to their ability to adapt to a variable climate, occupying diverse habitats + exhibiting flexible life histories.

#Phragmites, AKA "Common Reed," is the 🌎's most widely distributed flowering plant.

A particularly invasive varietal was introduced to North America hundreds of years ago + has become the most common type, spreading aggressively in the U.S., particularly in the #sacelta. 🧵
