Simply beyond words!

This is a video of Karen Abelman, an IDF soldier, who just finished her geirus (conversion) to join the Jewish People.

Her genuine emotion while saying Shema is palpable, and it’s inspiring to see such love for Hashem, Torah, and Klal Yisrael.

There’s no question that bring Jewish is a responsibility; but it’s also the greatest gift and opportunity imaginable.

As we approach Pesach, it’s the time of the year when we re-experience the birth of the Jewish People as they left Egypt.

Pesach represents the time in history where we ALL joined the Jewish nation; and every year, we get to personally tap into that experience.

So this Pesach, let’s try to experience the deeper meaning and purpose of our mission as Jews, and how lucky we are to live a life of true freedom and truth.

28 March 1909 | A Czech Jewish woman, Helena Franková, was born in Kamýk nad Vltavou.

She was deported to #Auschwitz from the #Theresienstadt ghetto on 18 December 1943. She did not survive.

27 March 1937 | An Italian Jewish girl, Sara Gesess, was born in Padua.

She was deported to #Auschwitz in August 1944, she was murdered in the gas chamber.

25 March 1941 | A Dutch Jewish boy, Alexander van der Stam, was born in Amsterdam.

He arrived at #Auschwitz on 6 December 1942 in a transport of 811 Jews deported from Westerbork. He and his mother Flora were among the 795 people murdered in gas chambers after selection.

Il y a pile 11 ans, le 19 mars 2012, étaient tués à #Toulouse Jonathan, 30 ans, Gabriel, 3 ans, Arié, 6 ans et Myriam, 8 ans, simplement parce que juifs.

Quelques jours avant eux étaient tués Imad, Abel et Mohammed, parce qu'ils servaient la #France.

Ne les oublions jamais.

Rav Shlomo Zalmen Auberbach’s yahrtzeit is today, the 20th of Adar.

He was a leading posek, scholar of Jewish law. His smile, empathy and sensitivity made him beloved by all of the Jewish people.

May his memory be a blessing and his legacy continue to inspire.
