ON THIS DAY: In 1953 the ANC resolved to begin the boycott campaign at their 41st conference in Queenstown. A series of boycott campaigns were staged throughout the country, incl the 1952 Defiance Campaign. This was the biggest non-violent resistance movement ever seen in SA.
