The Liberal gov was only citing the fiscal impact of the report when they mention the 80% number. Everyone knows it’s BS including the Liberals. They were just trying to fool CADs.

Totally agree. This IS the way the average Liberal voter thinks. It’s illogical and denies reality. The mindset of Liberal voters in Canada could be our greatest weakness.

There’s an inability to learn or admit when wrong that’s eerily similar to how religious fundamentalists think.

Carney is not a Conservative. Liberals are unprincipled opportunists. All they do is steal ideas from the NDP/Conservatives and then half-ass implement them. They’re only reason to exist is to stay in power. They’re a blight on Canada.

Carney has absolutely stolen some of Pierre’s ideas but he doesn’t implement them properly. They’re watered down and half-ass implemented. See Carbon tax. See pipeline approval. See housing incentives. See immigration. All half-ass implemented by Carney.

I’ll bite. One concrete example is the lack of trade deal Carney promised Liberal voters (can’t believe they bought that obvious lie) back in 2025. Because we don’t have one there’s A LOT of business uncertainty i.e. far less business investment/hiring/upgrades, etc.

For a more specific example see the statement by the Japanese car companies in regards to CAD having an open market to the US.

There are far more examples as well.
