@3PSboyd One of the biggest things going on over here is the roads. Many of the roads around these subdivisions are overloaded. So, the mayors are putting a pause on building new houses until the roads are widened. Which is causing builders to run out of work for their contractors.
@3PSboyd in short, the cost of converting a commercial strip mall into a apartment home would be a long and expensive process. Not a bad idea though, if you can find the electrician to be able to afford the time and material to do so.
@3PSboyd there is also the problem of junction boxes which are used everywhere in commercial buildings. this practice is frowned upon in residential due to no drop ceilings in residential homes.
@3PSboyd these conversions would be a little pricey from a electrical stand point. For instance, most houses and apartments are wired in romex. While commercial is wired in metal covered cable (MC). Also commercial buildings are metal framing which means you can't use romex at all.
I have tested positive for covid-19.
I'm unemployed, my health insurance is ending, I'm at high risk, and now someone who was careless about social distance has put my life in danger.
Don't be that person. Wear the mask. Follow the guidelines. Be safe.
Please.
