When we lived in a house with an intercom, my dad would disconnect the phone in his room, lock his room door and go to work, just so we can’t use the phone downstairs.

He would travel with the tv remote, so we don’t watch the tv, banned us from entering his living room, so we don’t soil his chairs.

Asking him for anything was the worst situation I was ever in. I feared my dad so much, that I grew up fearing any man his age. I just dreaded old men.
