Civil Engineering students traveled to the Razorback Concrete Plant in Searcy today. They created compressive/flexural specimens & tested slump from a ready-mix batch of concrete. Special thanks to Razorback Concrete Co. for hosting us!

Painting is nearing completion and the Steel Bridge team is gearing up for the assembly process. The competition is tentatively scheduled for Monday, March 29, on Harding’s campus.

Last week, Civil Engineering students toured the Vulcan Quarry facility. They were able to see the area where the Sandstone is being blasted out of the mountain side and Processed into aggregate material for use in several construction and transportation projects around Arkansas.

Associate Professor of Engineering Dr. James Huff wrote an article that was published by the Research Journal for Engineering Education.

The article dives into the idea of professional shame in the workplace among White, male engineers.
