I stopped downplaying what you love to do!

Every time I mention frisbee to someone, the response is overwhelmingly positive: “No way, really?” or “Bruh, I love frisbee!”

It’s rare for anyone to dismiss it as “not a real sport.” In fact, I can’t even remember the last time I heard that.

Yet, I often hear frisbee players say they play soccer, lacrosse, or basketball instead—sports they consider more “acceptable.” But how can we expect the world to respect our sport if we don’t respect it ourselves?

I used to seek others’ approval for my passion, feeling “lesser than” without validation. But I’ve moved past that.

Embracing frisbee unapologetically has given me back the respect I deserve for myself, my time, efforts, love, sacrifice, and the community that has given so much to me.
