The community members, staff and sisters came together on the Feast of All Souls to pray for our deceased and to bless the bones in our archives, below the General House.
The second set of Nettuno photos include the statue of Our Lady of grace which was saved from Ipswich during the reformation, a photo of a house similar to that in which Saint Maria Goretti was born, and the U.S. war cemetery.
We were witnesses to the perpetual profession of two members of the theologate here in Rome today: Charles Mbara Apรฉkรฉ (Cameroun) and Hayden Powick (New Zealand). Congratulations!
The theologate house of studies ended its year yesterday with some of the students receiving the ministry of reader or acolyte. Then we had a BBQ on the roof. Nice evening out - for us on this side of Rome.
As a thank you, one of the two refugees staying with us, treated us to a dinner outside the house. Rakan is on the extreme left with most of the community. Having found an apartment, he leaves us next week, with our best wishes.
This year's Feast of St. Peter Chanel will be significantly smaller but no less meaningful. The Mass will be celebrated with Peter Chanel's chalice - preserved here at the General House.
Italy has extended the lock down to May 3. That will be a total of eight weeks!
