🤝 Pi Network aims for global adoption and inclusivity, and a total supply of 100 billion tokens supports this vision. Here’s why this is 👉 better than burning tokens to reduce the supply to, say, 20B:

1️⃣ Mass Adoption: With over 60M pioneers, 100B tokens allow equitable distribution to millions, especially in developing countries. A 20B supply would limit access, discourage new users, and make tokens pricier.

2️⃣ Equity and Decentralization: A large supply prevents “whale” control. 80% of tokens are allocated to the community (65B for mining, the rest for liquidity). Burning to 20B would favour early adopters, creating inequality and centralization.

3️⃣ Ecosystem Flexibility: 100B supports transactions, dApps (e.g., PiFest), and DeFi liquidity. A smaller supply would restrict practical use, increase transaction costs, and limit scalability.

4️⃣ Inflation Control Without Burning: Pi uses halving (reducing mining rates) and strict KYC to limit circulating supply (only 10-20B on mainnet). Burning is irreversible and risky, potentially causing excessive volatility.

5️⃣ Affordable Price: A large supply keeps token prices low, attracting everyday users, not just speculators. A 20B supply would make Pi more ⚠️ speculative, contrary to its utility-focused goal.

Although the account was only registered this July, the user immediately blocks anyone who questions his claims.

Overseas Pi content creators have conclusively revealed that no such Chinese developer exists within the official Pi Network project team.

The Value of Pi Across Exchanges Will Shock You...

According to data from Pi Scan, the value of $PI across exchanges is roughly $40M.

This includes holdings across @OKX, @Bitget, @Gate, @MEXC, @Pionex, @LBank_Exchange, and @krakenfx.

Gate has the largest number of holdings, with over $20M in value.

The amount accounts for less than 0.05 of the total circulating supply. With more unlocks, Pioneers are expected to shift their holdings to exchanges.

In the meantime, it looks as though the community is happy to hold their assets.
