Hahaha! "We have Chief Commissioner who inspects the same road every month, gives the same instructions nobody listens to him"
Thank you @TVMohandasPai Sir for not holding back! 👏 Plugging my cartoon 😃
Madam MLA has not tweeted anything on the Varthur Gunjur road. Not even cared to visit.
But has all the time in the world to attend functions.
Congratulations @MALimbavali
Hope this will improve road conditions in #varthur#gunjur@BalagereConnect@RisingVarthur@WFRising
Being blunt here, @MALimbavali! I recognize that Twitter users matter little to you because they form a minority and most lack voting power in Blr. Yet ignoring the area while focusing only on vote-bank politics harms the city—though that may not concern you. @krishnabgowda
@krishnabgowda Imagine the situation. The potholes were supposed to fill 2 years ago. Another complaint which was registered 10 years ago. https://t.co/R07q9jyBpO It’s been a decade, sir. How long will we be neglected ?
Varthur Gunjur residents humbly invite Minister Byre Gowda to visit our area, inspect the roads, potholes

Again, Varthur Road gets a quick fix!
After The Times of India highlighted how school students took nearly 2.5 hours to cover just 4 km on #Varthur-#Gunjur Road amid crawling traffic, #Bengaluru East City Corporation took up pothole-filling work in the early hours of Saturday.
A temporary fix, but enough to get traffic moving.
Residents thank @toibengaluru reporter Hamsaveni N for highlighting their plight.
Day 2 - No tweet from @krishnabgowda about Varthur Crisis.
Some development - East Corporation did some patch work following the backlash.
Still looking for KRDCL officials !!
My biggest piece of worry 😟
Not a single tweet. Not a single public response.
Bengaluru Development Minister @krishnabgowda Sir— Why the silence on the worsening Varthur crisis? 🥲
Children are spending hours stuck in traffic, residents are struggling with basic connectivity, and the crisis keeps repeating. @ChristinMP_@TVMohandasPai@TOIIndiaNews
Varthur needs action and answers, not silence. @CMofKarnataka@DKShivakumar
Varthur Gunjur residents humbly invite Min Byre Gowda to visit our area, inspect the roads, potholes.
Take corrective action.
Fix timelines for the road works.
Fix accountability.

4 KM. 2.5 HOURS. SCHOOL CHILDREN TRAPPED IN TRAFFIC. 🚨
This is no longer a “traffic jam” — it is a daily ordeal imposed on children.
When school buses carrying young students spend hours crawling through Varthur–Gunjur, children lose study time, play time, family time and, most importantly, their sense of safety and normalcy. And this is happening repeatedly, not as a one-off incident.
@CitizenPulseX asks: How many more hours must our children spend inside school buses before SH-35 and the surrounding road network receive war-footing intervention?
Bengaluru cannot celebrate its IT growth while its children are effectively held hostage by failing infrastructure and traffic mismanagement.
This demands a coordinated, time-bound action plan — not another inspection, assurance or press statement. Children cannot wait for files to move.
@ndtv — please keep this issue alive until there is visible action. Track the commitments of the concerned authorities, demand timelines, revisit the stretch, and report whether the promised interventions actually reach the ground.
The story should not end when the news cycle ends. The children still have to travel this road tomorrow.
