Once Sammaan Capital Ltd Book Value was around 275. The stock was languishing at less than 0.5x Price to Book. It looked like a screaming bargain.

Today? That Book Value has collapsed to just 164 as the poor quality of assets was finally recognized.

The market is a forward-looking machine. What looks like an "irrational" discount is often just the market accurately pricing in future reality. It knew the assets were bad before the balance sheet admitted it.
