Fruit trees have been cultivated for thousands of years in this region alongside crops. Multicropping, a traditional farming practice, not only ensured a balanced diversified diet for the community but also richness of soil and farmer prosperity. Wonderful that thousands of farmers are investing themselves in reviving this tradition. Congratulations & Best wishes to everyone striving to bring economic and ecological prosperity to Bharat. Blessings. -Sg #CauveryCalling #SaveSoil @cpsavesoil
Thiru Valluvan and tens of thousands of farmers like him in the Cauvery river basin have embraced tree-based agriculture which is primarily an economic model for long-term farmer prosperity, which also offers significant ecological benefits. It enriches soil, optimizes land and water resources, minimizes dependence on chemical-based fertilizers and cools the planet. Congratulations to Thiru Valluvan for creating economic & ecological wealth. Blessings. -Sg #CauveryCalling #SaveSoil @UNCCD@FAO

Is this biologically possible? Result of my jackfruit tree surgery trial. All fruits used to be 30ft high. Per advice from Agri officer chopped it at 20ft. Tree protested for 3 yrs, and now has given 200+ fruits, each can grow to 20kg and weight is balanced all around the trunk!
A temple is not just a structure of stone and mortar but an outpouring of devotion. A paid government official cannot run it - it takes the heart of a devotee. Encouraging to see the Government’s statement. Must translate into action. -Sg

Meet Shuga, a 28-year-old visually impaired Earth Buddy who ran 21 km (barefoot!) in the ADAC Marathon in Hanover on 12 April 2026 to raise awareness for Conscious Planet – SAVE SOIL movement.
He shares that just as his feet have been pushed to their limits of exhaustion, so has the soil – which is the foundation of our life.
His message is powerful: “Everyone is capable of making a difference.”
He was accompanied by his friend Martin, who physically guided him along the route since he cannot see. For both of them, it was about setting an example and standing up for responsibility and community.
The initiative behind this is Conscious Planet – SAVE SOIL, which is committed worldwide to regenerating our soils.

Harsh reality of Indian tax payers .. 30%-40% of income goes into taxes when employed and when lay off happens you are on your own :( .. no medical insurance, no safety net, no nothing 😑
A friend at Oracle got impacted in the layoffs.
Was on a call with him for about 30 minutes. Thankfully, he has ~18 months of safety net and kids education taken care of for 3 years, something we’ve discussed way too often.
He’s really good at his work. But one thing he said stayed with me:
“I’d rather earn ₹12L and take the rest as benefits… I just don’t want to pay tax.”
The way common devotees are treated by temple authorities is disheartening .. government have so much temple money at disperse but don’t have the will to provide basic facilities :( .. all temples should be freed from these iron clutches #Srisailam#FreeTemples
Broken barricades, sit-in protests, “Deputy CM down down” echoing in Srisailam, that’s what Naidu’s world class administration delivered to Lord Shiva’s devotees!
VIP darshan smooth, common bhakt tortured. This isn’t governance, it’s betrayal of Hinduism 🕉️🙏🏻
Novak Djokovic: “I’m chasing Sinner and Alcaraz? I’m always the chaser and never been chased? I find it disrespectful that you missed out on what happened in between when I dominated the Grand Slams for 15 years.” 🔥

What Isha demonstrates is not just scale alone. Crowd flow, cleanliness, volunteer discipline, food, parking, safety, experience.
When 25k people can pass through daily without chaos then it becomes case study of Operational Excellence.
Now imagine if even 10% of India’s temples, heritage sites, ghats, and eco-spaces were run with this mindset, then tourism would be powerhouse
India doesn’t need new attractions.
It needs better execution.
𝟐. 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞
Forget about 50/- entry. Just think about ecosystem that gets created around footfall. Hotels, homestays, transport, local food, handicrafts, livelihoods and lot more.
Isha shows that when culture is respected and spaces are well-managed, people willingly travel, spend, and return.
Globally, countries spend billions building tourist destinations. India is already having temples, rivers, landscapes, civilisational depth. What we lack is execution.
3. 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞
What makes Isha work is not just infrastructure but more of cultural confidence. People don’t feel like “Customers”. They feel like participants in something larger.
That’s the difference between tourism as consumption and tourism as experience.
If India understands this distinction, our tourism story will skyrocket.
This is very sad and dangerous :(.. delivery partners should never onboard the train .. passengers should come near the gate and collect the item .. @Swiggy please consider stopping in seat deliveries🙏
⚠️Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh: a Swiggy delivery guy fell while getting down from a moving train due to a 1–2 minute halt.
Passenger was in 1st AC; train started before the handover was completed.
He could have lost his life.
