Boys Tennis season starts Monday and we need more guys to come out! You know how fun and rewarding this sport can be. Can you help us spread the word!? Weather permitting, we will be outside from 4:00-5:30pm every day. Players need to have a valid physical and sign up on 8to18.

1 Doubles (Cassie Claeyssen/Halie Montalto) will play tomorrow for the Consolation Championship.
2 Doubles (Alyssa Fulton/Melina Coletta) will play tomorrow for 3rd place.
3 Doubles (Tara Kuehne/Elaina Parnello) will play tomorrow for 3rd place!

The weather did not cooperate for Day 1 of the Varsity NIC-10 Tournament, but our team rallied to finish as good as we have ever done on day 1!

1 Singles (Ana Besevic) will play tomorrow for 3rd place.
2 Singles (Maya Hargraves) will play tomorrow for 3rd place.

1 Doubles (Makyah Scott/Leah Badgley) are playing for 3rd place on Saturday in Freeport.

2 Doubles (Addy Greenland/Sierra Oyen) are playing for a Championship on Saturday in Freeport.

3 Doubles (Trenedy Johnson/Makayla Ganus) won the Consolation Championship today in Freeport!

Today kicked off the JV Conference Tennis Tournament! This is where we stand in each division:

1 Singles (Kate Schemel) is playing for a Championship tomorrow at 8:00am at Harlem.

2 Singles (Addie Scott) is playing for a Consolation Championship on Saturday in Freeport.

Senior Night v Dekalb was a HUGE success! What a way to close out our regular season. We are really going to miss having this team all together!

Senior Class of 2024: We love you and will miss you! Thank you for who you are and all you have done to make our program better! 🎾

Harlem’s Varsity beat Freeport 4-1 tonight and JV won 5-0. The whole team played really well but this picture is what it’s all about. It’s moments like these that make this team and program special! 🧡

Unfortunately, our tennis tournament got canceled today. Fortunately, Coach Dredge took the team to Starbucks and Edwards Apple Orchard to make up for it! 🧡

It was a beautiful night for tennis and we had a big crowd! We were finally able to get everyone a match and some players even got multiple! Hononegah triumphed on both the Varsity and JV level but we are so proud of the way we continued to played with toughness and grace. 🤍

Varsity had a competitive day vs Auburn falling 2-3 with wins at 2 Dubs (SR Fulton & SO Coletta) & 3 Dubs (SR Kuehne & SO Parnello). JV won 4-1 with wins at 1 Dubs (SR M. Scott & FR Badgley) & 2 Dubs (SR Greenland & JR Oyen). The Huskies return to action on Thursday vs Hononegah!

2 Singles (Hargraves) took home second and our 1 Singles (Besevic) and 1 Doubles (Claeyssen/Montalto) battled in their draws that were loaded with talent!

It was truly a wonderful day of tennis and we are very proud of all 10 girls that represented Harlem today! 🤍

Your Huskies were just 1 overall point away from being the Champs of the Harlem Invite, but we did earn a admirable 2nd place finish! Additional, our 2 Doubles (Coletta/Fulton), 3 Doubles (Badgley/Scott) and 4 Doubles (Kuehne/Schemel) all were Champions in their divisions!

The Harlem Invite is well underway! We are seeing some good tennis at the Bill Dredge Tennis Center!

Harlem traveled to Belvidere tonight and earned a 5-0 win on both the Varsity and JV level! That’s a great start to the NIC-10 season! 🎾

Girls HS tennis season starts August 7th from 7:30-9:00am! Make sure you get registered on 8to18 and get those physicals turned in!

Boys HS and Coed MS is in the Spring so keep watching for more info to come!

We had a GREAT week of tennis camp! Thank you to all the players for working hard to beat the heat and thank you parents and guardians for trusting us with the development of your kids. We sincerely hope everyone found a sport they enjoy, had fun, and will come back again!
