A lot of hard work went into this and I’m really proud of how it turned out
Having spoken to Mat multiples it’s difficult to see him go as he was as a nice as they come.
It’s the right decision and we all know it, he moved the club forward in a way no manager has done for a long time but unfortunately he couldn’t get it over the line.
Time to move on
Walsall Football Club have today parted company with Men’s First Team Head Coach Mat Sadler, bringing an end to his tenure after nearly three years in charge.
Pleasure to be joined in the press box by @HarleySheldon8 today. Shame about the result and the performance though.
Watch us both dissect Walsall’s 2-0 defeat against Colchester 👇

Walsall playing higher up the pitch in the second half pressurising the away side at every opportunity, not to much effect so far.
by hook or by crook Walsall need a goal.
None existent midfield, unsuccessful long balls alongside Walsall falling for Colchester's traps has led to a really poor half of football.
Colchester executed their plan to great effect.
Walsall looking a frustrated side in the opening 40 minutes.
Typical away performance so far from Colchester.
Matt Sadler needs a rethink at half-time.
Sloppy start for Walsall on the back foot, Ryan Finnigan in particular hasn't settled into the game just yet.
Colchester look the hungrier side in the opening phase.
