Dr Hadrian Cook from @HarnhamWMT spoke to That's TV about their annual open days, and how it ties in to the trust's collaboration with Natural England.

This Saturday the 16th is our Open Day! We will have tours of the meadows, sheepdog demonstrations, and heavy horses.

Rose Cottage will be open, and refreshments available.

We hope to see you there, from 2-5pm.

Harnham Water Meadows will again be purposely flooded @HarnhamWMT with the grass drowned while watched by the public.

Demonstrations of the irrigation system, first constructed in the 17th century, take place on Saturday's 25th Jan and 8th Feb.

On Saturday 10 August @HarnhamWMT had one of their annual Summer Open Days.

The event started at Rose Cottage and included water meadow tours, sheepdog demonstration and refreshments. Keep an eye out for future events from the trust.

Happy #ThickTrunkTuesday. This beautiful ancient coppiced alder lives on the bank of the Nadder on @HarnhamWMT land. Girth is approx 5.70m at height of 1.50m. It can be seen if you attend Trust open days as the land isn't normally open to general public.

The @HarnhamWMT are having an open afternoon tomorrow with tours of the water meadows, sheep dog demonstration & refreshments. 2-5pm meet at Rose Cottage (adjacent to back gardens of the Old Mill pub) for tours etc

Saturday 27th July is our Art Day!

The meadows will be open to artists, offering exclusive views of the meadows, cathedral, and the rivers Avon and Nadder.

Fascinating afternoon exploring the Harnham Water Meadows, learning how the ancient practice of managed flooding brings new life to the meadows. Also got to see a sheep dog demonstration. Thanks to the @HarnhamWMT volunteers.

Rose Cottage will be open on Saturday the 13th of July, and Saturday the 10th of August, between 2pm and 5pm.
There will be tours of the meadows, refreshments, and sheepdog demonstrations, which are always very popular!

The event is free, and everyone is welcome!

The Navy Larks will be singing for us on Wednesday the 3rd of July, at Rose Cottage, from 7pm, to 8:30pm in support of the RNLI.

Tickets are £15 on the door, which includes a glass of wine.

This was very successful last year, so we hope you can come and enjoy the evening!
