Tabz has always showed up for many of us on this app in one way or another.
Speaking up against his abduction and demanding for his release is something we can all do.

GROWTH & RESPONSIBILITIES 🇺🇬
Earlier today, I had the honor of being entrusted with coordinating and handling the @RwenzoriMarathn & Ebola press conference at the National Parliament bringing together over 20 media houses and 50 influencers.
This important engagement was organized by Members of Parliament from the Rwenzori Region.
I carried out this responsibility under the guidance of Hon. Benjamin Cardet and @JuliusLuwemba, alongside @nichotourguide and the incredible Travel Specialists team.
Moments like these remind me how far we are growing stepping into spaces of impact & responsibility, and becoming part of something bigger than ourselves as Ugandans.
I’m grateful to my uncle, @wekesa_amos, for constantly believing in me and recommending my name for such opportunities.
22nd August is Rwenzori Marathon
Thoroughly enjoyed catching up with my fellow marketing "historical" @StKyamutetera. We compared notes on a topic that's precious to us both i.e. turbo charging Uganda's tourism sector to achieve its full potential.
As always with Kyam (hot-blooded and passionate on all things Uganda) one cannot expect to agree on every aspect but one area we found concensus on, is that Destinations do not grow simply because they are marketed.
They grow faster and more sustainably because people invest in experiences that travellers are willing to pay for. Marketing will bring visitors through the door, but it is the quality and variety of experiences that keeps them longer, brings them back and turns them into ambassadors for a destination.
The paradigm shift in how we bring Explore Uganda to life, is already in motion. We saw it at POATE, where the private sector set the stage; showcasing their ability to compete on a global stage and an innate ambition to grow, innovate and attract more visitors to our destination.
Even so, gakyali mabaga..(we're just getting started..) Public-private partnership is critical in diversifying our tourism offering and creating new experiences that augment our unique basket of natural assets. The highlights of my conversation with @CEOEastAfrica Magazine are shared below.
