"He is okay guys" - Fans express concern over former Take Five host Aaron Moloisi's dramatic weight loss
Former television presenter and events host Aaron Moloisi has become the subject of widespread concern on social media after a recent photograph showing his noticeably slimmer appearance went viral.
The image, which has been shared across several platforms, has prompted speculation among fans, with many expressing worry about the former TV personality's health and wellbeing.
Moloisi, once regarded as one of South Africa's most recognisable television hosts, built a successful career in broadcasting and entertainment over two decades. Known for his charismatic on-screen presence, being multi-lingual and sharp interviewing skills, he became a household name through his work on several television productions such as Take Five, Shift, The Big Question, Rise Mzansi and Special Assihnment to name a few.
Beyond television, Moloisi established himself as one of the country's sought-after masters of ceremony, hosting corporate functions, awards ceremonies and high-profile entertainment events.
As concerns mount online, a close friend of Moloisi told Buzz Life News that there was no cause for alarm and urged the public to be kinder in their comments.
"He is okay, guys. He is surviving," the friend said.
"People see one picture and immediately assume the worst. The truth is that times are not the same. The years have gone by and Aaron has not been on television for a while, but he still gets event-hosting gigs and continues to work."
The friend said Moloisi's appearance should also be viewed in the context of his age and changing lifestyle.
"He is 47 after all, going on 50. People change as they get older. Not everyone is going to look the same forever. He is doing okay and people need to be less harsh and less judgmental."
The source added that while Moloisi has remained active behind the scenes and on the events circuit, he still hopes to make a return to television.
"He would absolutely love to return to TV. Aaron was one of the best in the game. He had a natural gift for presenting and connecting with audiences."
According to the friend, Moloisi remains passionate about broadcasting and would welcome an opportunity to showcase his talent on screen again.
"He still has a lot to offer. People remember him because he was good at what he did. If the right opportunity came along, he would definitely consider returning to television."
While social media users continue to debate his appearance, those close to Moloisi say the veteran presenter remains focused on moving forward and navigating the changing realities of the entertainment industry, insisting that the viral image tells only a small part of a much bigger story.
