The Stories We Tell Ourselves
Day 153 of 365
Every day, we tell ourselves stories about who we are, what others think of us, and what is possible for our future. Some of those stories help us grow. Others quietly hold us back. Faith may ask whether those stories align with truth. Reason may ask whether they align with reality. Both remind us that the stories we believe often shape the lives we live.
Carry this with you today: Question the stories that limit you.

The Cost of Certainty
Day 152 of 365
There is comfort in being certain. Certainty can make the world feel simpler and more predictable. But sometimes certainty closes doors that curiosity would leave open. Faith at its best remains humble enough to keep learning. Reason at its best remains honest enough to admit what it does not know. Both remind us that wisdom often grows where humility lives.
Carry this with you today: Hold your convictions with humility.

The Difference Between Information and Wisdom
Day 151 of 365
We live in an age overflowing with information. Answers are available in seconds, yet wisdom remains rare. Information tells us what is happening. Wisdom helps us understand what matters. Faith may seek wisdom through reflection and meaning. Reason may seek it through experience and careful thought. Both remind us that knowing more is not the same as understanding better.
Carry this with you today: Seek wisdom, not just information.

The Gift of Wonder
Day 149 of 365
Children seem to find wonder everywhere. Adults often lose it somewhere between responsibility and routine. Yet wonder is not childish; it is one of the ways we stay alive to the beauty, mystery, and possibility around us. Faith may see wonder as a glimpse of something greater. Reason may see it as the beginning of discovery. Both remind us that a life without wonder becomes smaller than it needs to be.
Carry this with you today: Stay open to wonder.

The Danger of Living on Autopilot
Day 146 of 365
It is possible to move through life without really examining it. Habits, routines, and distractions can quietly shape our days before we even notice. Faith may call this being spiritually awake. Reason may call it conscious living. Both remind us that an unexamined life can slowly drift away from what matters most.
Carry this with you today: Live intentionally.

AIR FRYER STEAK, POTATOES, & CORN
(or as couples call it: “we could’ve gone out, but honestly sweatpants won.”)
🥩 Steak Bites
2 strip steaks, cut into chunks
Toss with oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder
Air fry at 400°F for 7–9 minutes
Shake halfway through
🥔 Potatoes
Cut into chunks
Toss with oil, salt, pepper, paprika
Air fry at 400°F for 15–20 minutes
Shake halfway through
🌽 Corn on the Cob
Butter, salt, little pepper
Air fry at 400°F for 10–12 minutes
Turn halfway through
Dinner for me and Suzie tonight cost about $25, which honestly means we’re now one step away from discussing “market conditions” before buying groceries.
Steak used to be regular people food. Now buying two strip steaks feels like financing a bass boat.
But the air fryer came through again. That thing has the confidence of a middle-aged man explaining barbecue at Home Depot.
“It’s all about circulation.”
I spent half the cooking time staring through the little window like I was waiting on a baby at the hospital nursery.
“Come on, potatoes… you can crisp.”
And air fryer corn is weirdly good. It tastes like summer and county fairs without having to stand next to a porta-potty listening to a cover band play “Sweet Home Alabama.”
Honestly though?
Simple dinner. Good food. Good company.
Hard to beat that.

Today we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸
Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It is a sacred reminder that freedom has always come at a cost. Behind every flag placed at a gravesite is a story, a family, a sacrifice, and a legacy of courage.
As we gather with family and friends today, may we also take a moment to reflect with gratitude for those who never made it home, and for the families who continue to carry both the pride and pain of that sacrifice.
May we live in a way that honors their memory.
Forever remembered. Forever honored. ❤️

The Quiet Strength of Consistency
Day 144 of 365
We often celebrate dramatic moments, but most meaningful change is built quietly over time. Showing up consistently—even when motivation fades—shapes character, relationships, and direction. Faith may call this faithfulness. Reason may call it disciplined habit. Both remind us that steady effort carries power.
Carry this with you today: Consistency matters more than intensity.

The Freedom of Not Having Everything Figured Out
Day 139 of 365
There is pressure in believing you should already have all the answers. But life is often lived through discovery, adjustment, and learning along the way. Faith may call this trust in the journey. Reason may call it ongoing understanding. Both remind us that uncertainty does not mean failure—it means you are still growing.
Carry this with you today: You do not need every answer today.

Walking back to my car after church today, I found this sweet note tucked under my windshield from the children’s ministry at Transformation Church. 💙
“I hope you have a blessed day! Love, Layla Vam
Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness carry the biggest reminders of God’s love. Grateful to be part of a church that intentionally spreads joy, encouragement, and the love of Jesus in such simple but powerful ways.
This absolutely made my day. 🙏💙

Week One of construction is complete at Transformation Church!
What started as a vision is becoming reality one step, one decision, and one construction day at a time.
There is still a long way to go, but we are learning to enjoy the journey, not just the destination. Blueprints, scaffolding, pipes, and progress are all part of the story God is building in Eureka.
We are grateful for everyone helping bring this vision to life as we prepare to launch August 9.

Something new is beginning in our community.
Transformation Church is launching, and we are building more than a church service. We are building a Jesus-centered movement focused on hope, healing, discipleship, recovery, restoration, authentic community, and life transformation.
At Transformation Church, we believe in following a Jesus-looking God and helping people experience a truly Jesus-centered life. Everything we do will flow from the life, love, compassion, truth, grace, and example of Jesus.
Right now, we are prayerfully building our launch team, and we are looking for passionate, servant-hearted people who want to help make a difference.
There are opportunities to serve in:
• Pastoral ministries
• Teaching & speaking teams
• Worship ministry (vocals & instrumentalists)
• A/V & production team
• Creative ministries
• Innovation ministries
• Media & technology
• Youth ministry
• Children’s ministry
• Hospitality & fellowship teams
• Outreach & mission ministries
• Recovery ministries
• Prayer teams
• Setup & operations
• Community support ministries
This is not a one-time event or a short-term project.
This is Phase One of a long-term vision for Eureka and the surrounding communities. Phase One establishes our presence and builds the foundation. From there, we will continue growing through future phases in the weeks, months, and years ahead.
We believe God is calling us to help spark a modern-day Jesus Revolution rooted in grace, truth, healing, discipleship, recovery, service, and authentic community transformation.
We are building for the future.
We are building for families.
We are building for the next generation.
We are building for people who need hope.
We are building a place where people can experience a Jesus-centered life together.
You do not have to be perfect to be part of what God is building.
You simply need a willing heart.
Whether you have ministry experience or simply want to serve and grow, there is a place for you here.

The Strength of Choosing Peace Over Drama
Day 135 of 365
Not every conflict deserves your energy. Some situations grow louder simply because people keep feeding them. Faith may call this peacemaking. Reason may call it emotional maturity. Both remind us that protecting your peace is not avoidance—it is wisdom.
Carry this with you today: Choose peace when you can.

The Wisdom of Admitting When You’re Tired
Day 133 of 365
There is a difference between weakness and exhaustion. Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is admit that you are tired and need rest, support, or space to recover. Faith may call this human limitation. Reason may call it self-awareness. Both remind us that ignoring exhaustion does not make it disappear.
Carry this with you today: Listen to your limits.

The Quiet Power of Encouragement
Day 132 of 365
You may never fully know the impact of a kind word or timely encouragement. Small moments of support can steady someone more than you realize. Faith may call this lifting one another up. Reason may call it positive human connection. Both remind us that encouragement can change the direction of a person’s day—or even their life.
Carry this with you today: Speak encouragement freely.

The Freedom of Accepting What You Cannot Change
Day 131 of 365
Some struggles come from trying to change things that are beyond your control. Acceptance is not giving up; it is seeing reality clearly enough to stop fighting what cannot be forced. Faith may call this surrender. Reason may call it acceptance of reality. Both remind us that peace often begins where resistance ends.
Carry this with you today: Accept what you cannot control.
