You’re on a production incident call with the SRE team and someone asks “what’s the latency looking like?”

Are You Becoming the Signature Man?
First it fascinates you.
Then it inspires you.
Then you use it.
Then you outsource to it.
You outsource your why.
You outsource your thinking🤔
You outsource your decisions.
Now you’re just the Signature Man !!
name on the PR, name on the doc, name on the call.
But ask you to defend it?
Silence …
You can’t even look back to figure out where it went wrong.
Because looking back also needs thinking and that you already gave away😉

Maybe the real skill isn’t prompting AI for answers.
It’s knowing when to stop asking !!
Or maybe I should ask AI to review this post too. I’m sure it’ll find 5 gaps. 😉
The biggest irony of using AI tools?
Ask AI to make a plan. It gives you a solid plan.
Now ask AI to act as a domain expert and review that same plan.
It will happily find 5+ critical gaps.
Fix those gaps.
Ask again.
3 more gaps.
Fix again. Ask again !
No human consultant in history would tear apart their own proposal this enthusiastically.
But AI? Zero ego !It will destroy its own work with a smile and a bullet-point list.
The real question is, if AI always knows the gaps, y doesn’t it just give the best answer first time?
