As misinformation spreads, specifically targeting Sikh Canadians, we urge media to prioritize accuracy and context, as escalating rhetoric and violent tactics are used for political gain, particularly in Indian media. We also remember Bhai Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was assassinated outside a Gurudwara, and believe all Canadians should feel safe in their places of worship.

We honor the memory of Sikhs affected by past atrocities committed by the Indian government, underscoring the importance of recognizing historical injustices. We call on Canadian authorities to prevent Indian consulates from using religious sites for consular services, and we commend law enforcement’s efforts to ensure public safety and maintain peace.

In these challenging times, Khalsa Aid stands firmly for justice, unity, and freedom of expression, rejecting all forms of hate and division against any faith or community.
