He doesn’t understand NY. Doesn’t understand the Fanbase. Never once apologized to the Fanbase. Gutted the core and replaced them with aging, injury prone players. He’s the definition of “Uncapped Downside Scenarios” when it comes to P.O.B.O in MLB. Stop destroying the Mets

[SNY Mets @SNY_Mets]

"We and I made a number of decisions that created the potential for an uncapped downside scenario"

David Stearns discusses the lessons he learned from the start to the 2026 season for the Mets

[Todd Harrigan Jr. @Harri327]

@Jomboy_ This is all he does. Say a bunch of big words and never takes any accountability. Destroyed the Mets in one offseason. Just say “I failed. I thought it was smart to replace Nimmo, Alonso and Diaz with overpaid, aging and injury prone players”

[Todd Harrigan Jr. @Harri327]

@TreIindor20 You must be delusional:

We FAILED, because our POBO decided to trade a 20/80 guy for a WASHED 35 YO 2B w/ an awful contract, replace our HR KING with an injury prone 2B/DH, replace Diaz with the guy said HR King broke in 24, trade for Robert Jr, + about 15 other HORRENDOUS moves

[Todd Harrigan Jr. @Harri327]

@OnyxMcGrady LOLOL good one.

[Todd Harrigan Jr. @Harri327]

@Derek09329884 He without a doubt took a pay cut. He took a deal early to allow the team flexibility to sign OG, & trade for Mikal and KAT while staying under the 2nd Apron. Pretty obvious.

[Todd Harrigan Jr. @Harri327]

@bleednucksblue How about the Braves? Pretty sure they kept their core and won the NL East. Moron

[Todd Harrigan Jr. @Harri327]

@bleednucksblue Yes. Bc you cannot discount the dumpster fire trade deadlines of 2024 and 2025 along with the worst offseason in history leading us to the basement of the NL East. He doesn’t get NY, he’ll never get NY. Get him outta here

[Todd Harrigan Jr. @Harri327]

@BMiggy @DavidLove26 @PokeGoFan1979 @forallyoukids I laid out $181M/year of horrendous contracts handed out by Sterns. Alonso would’ve been cheaper and better than Bo/Polanco/Semien & Robert Jr. combined.

That’s $118M/yr worth of contracts vs: $31M

You truly don’t understand baseball if you think the 4 current Mets are better

[Todd Harrigan Jr. @Harri327]

@BMiggy @DavidLove26 @PokeGoFan1979 @forallyoukids Brian, glad you depend on Chat GPT for your arguments. Really genuine

[Todd Harrigan Jr. @Harri327]

@DavidLove26 @PokeGoFan1979 @BMiggy @forallyoukids No David, I’m smart. And I watched a guy play 162, perform at the highest level and connect with a fanbase like few do, get lowballed, disrespected and unappreciated by a POBO who can’t throw a ball from 3rd to 1st. He doesn’t get it. He’ll never get it.

[Todd Harrigan Jr. @Harri327]

@DavidLove26 @PokeGoFan1979 @BMiggy @forallyoukids Not on roster decisions. Cohen will spend ridiculous amounts to win. Sterns built the worst team money could buy, literally. He shouldn’t be able to run this team any further, it’s gotten worse year over year. Time for an actual baseball guy.

[Todd Harrigan Jr. @Harri327]

@DavidLove26 @PokeGoFan1979 @BMiggy They won the World Series last year. That’s what matters. They win. Sterns took a team in 2024 that took the Dodgers to 6 games and dismantled to the basement of the NL East with a ridiculous payroll. We weren’t in the Dodgers class, that’s on Sterns

[Todd Harrigan Jr. @Harri327]

@PokeGoFan1979 @DavidLove26 @BMiggy @forallyoukids Really? Cohen is the President of Baseball Ops? I must’ve missed that announcement

[Todd Harrigan Jr. @Harri327]

@DavidLove26 @PokeGoFan1979 @BMiggy Guess what David, they win. So it really doesn’t matter. If the Mets were in first place going to the playoffs, our debate wouldn’t be happening

[Todd Harrigan Jr. @Harri327]

@DavidLove26 @PokeGoFan1979 @BMiggy @forallyoukids David, are you that stupid. Agents and Teams talk throughout the year. Teams make it clear whether they want a player or they don’t. Obviously it was made clear to Pete the Mets wouldn’t go 5 years (such a wrong decision). I guarantee if the Mets offered that contract, he’s a Met

[Todd Harrigan Jr. @Harri327]

@PokeGoFan1979 @DavidLove26 @BMiggy @forallyoukids It’s not about Cohen. Cohen wanted Pete, tried to sign him pre sterns. Sterns comes in and had zero desire to keep him long term, even though we had no replacement coming up in the minors and refused to sign a real 1B in FA. He sucks, he ripped out the heart and soul of the Mets

[Todd Harrigan Jr. @Harri327]

@PokeGoFan1979 @DavidLove26 @BMiggy Do they care? NO. Because they are back to back champs. It doesn’t matter. They WON. The model works, when you are willing to give LONG TERM contracts out to the RIGHT players. Sterns refuses, because he’s a small market GM who will never understand what NY fans connect with

[Todd Harrigan Jr. @Harri327]

@PokeGoFan1979 @DavidLove26 @BMiggy But yeah, he’s a fucking genius and Met fans are stupid. You’re stupid. Fans are sick of this guy ruining our team. We wanted to keep our guys (like ATL and PHI) who are going to play October baseball. Funny how teams who kept their core are more successful, you retard

[Todd Harrigan Jr. @Harri327]

@PokeGoFan1979 @DavidLove26 @BMiggy Payroll under control?

Montes- 20M/yr
Semien- $28M/yr
Manaea-$25M/yr
Bo-$50M/yr
Polanco-$20M/yr
Williams-$18M/yr
Robert-$20M/Yr

That’s $181M/yr of absolute ABYSMAL contracts. Not counting trades like Siri, Houser, Helsley,Mullins etc

Guy set the payroll on fire for last in NLE
