There’s prayer… and then there’s strategic prayer.
Most believers pray out of habit—morning prayer, bedtime prayer, prayer before meals. It becomes a routine.
But do you know that you can pray with clarity, direction, and purpose? That’s what strategic prayer is all about.
Let me break it down simply:
1. Strategic prayer is specific.
You’re not just saying “God, help me.” You’re saying,
“God, I need wisdom on how to handle this business deal.”
“God, show me who is genuinely for me in this season.”
“God, give me clarity before I make this decision.”
2. Strategic prayer is based on understanding.
Before you pray, ask yourself:
What’s really going on?
What pattern keeps repeating in my life?
What am I sensing spiritually?
3. Strategic prayer partners with God’s will.
Sometimes we ask for things that look good but aren’t good for us. Strategic prayer says:
“Lord, not just what I want—but what You know I need. Guide me.”
It shifts the prayer from demanding to aligning.
4. Strategic prayer is timely.
There’s a difference between praying about everything and praying about the right thing at the right time.
5. Strategic prayer leads to action.
After prayer, you don’t just sit there. You listen, you observe, you take wise steps.
Sometimes the answer is a strategy, not a miracle.
Strategic prayer is when you pray like someone who knows they’re in a spiritual battle, with purpose, clarity, and focus.
Don’t just pray harder. Pray wiser.
Kenyan police allowed Arsenal fans to gather and disperse peacefully but they never allow the same youth to protest against the government without killing some
Raila Odinga was a true champion of democracy. A child of independence, he endured decades of struggle and sacrifice for the broader cause of freedom and self-governance in Kenya. Time and again, I personally saw him put the interests of his country ahead of his own ambitions. Like few other leaders anywhere, he was willing to choose the path of peaceful reconciliation without compromising his core values. Through his life, Raila Odinga set an example not just for Kenyans, but across Africa and around the world. I know he will be missed. Michelle and I send our deepest condolences to his family and to the people of Kenya.
