First in charge shift completed✅
So fortunate to be working with such a supportive team who have trusted me enough for this role so soon into my career, as terrifying as it is! Learning everyday 🤓
Had my first student nurses work with me this week!
A great moment to look back on how far I’ve come since my first ever placement. And what fantastic nurses they will be in 3 years time👩🏼⚕️🥰
Harrowing words from a senior emergency medicine doctor showing the despair at not being able to provide the level of care every doctor hopes to for their patients. Every doctor, nurse & HCW can empathise with this right now.
Shared w/ permission. Pls RT to get this out there.
@PUNCJasmine @PUNC14 @StNurseProject Often during my initial interview, my assessor would ask what I would like to achieve. Providing general objectives to achieve was fine, but it can be hard to identify more specific goals before you’ve had a chance to even start!
@PUNCJasmine @PUNC14 @StNurseProject I’m in adult nursing, but I would say that suggesting some ideas of learning opportunities and objectives relative to the area is beneficial!
@Eve_S_Morley @PUNC19Kitty I haven’t used either of these medications, but regarding SPF, I wear ultra violette daily! Either screen queen or supreme screen, I get them from spaceNK. Neither are sticky or make my face oily, they go on like a serum. And it’s an Australian brand, so the very best SPF!😊
@MuthaHugger The new Charlotte tilbury ‘beautiful skin’ is amazing! I’ve tried all CT foundations and this one is the best by far, not heavy at all, and sits perfectly between dewy and matte!
First week of placement in yr1 I fainted during morning handover as I was so overwhelmed with information.
Last month I was managing my own patients in resus (under supervision).
Soak up every bit of information, be proactive, build relationships, and have a positive attitude💝
So, when people in an office buy a cake in the middle of the afternoon for someone else they are working in the office with and stop for ten minutes to sing happy birthday and then go back to their desks, this is now called a party?
