I’m not sure how I got turned on to the podcast “Room to Grow - a Math Podcast”, but the last two episodes have been great. They have really spoken to some things I’ve been wrestling with lately. Check it out: https://t.co/4Vser9JkjM
From this 3 year old podcast, the guest says, “I think the purpose of PD should be to enhance the professional identity of teachers. It should help teachers feel better about the work they are doing.”
I think I need to add his book to my reading list.

I’m behind on this podcast & have been listening to a lot of episodes because I’m a completionist. This episode is timely. I just taught division with rational numbers to one class today, and will do so with others tomorrow. Tomorrow will be different.

Fourth session of #IFLLEX by @fcpsoit is Animating in @canva with @MsYates_in_STEM. I enjoy her approach of making us do it on her template during the session. Hands on is always appreciated.
Third session of #IFLLEX w/ @fcpsoit’s chromebook guru @davecarty. He shared lots of great tips, I didn’t know about the everything key and v showing last 5 clipboard items. That’s useful when I get carried away copying things.
Second session of #IFLLEX w/ @fcpsoit was with the soon to be retired @JerryBroyles1 and his wheelhouse, myViewBoard, and the new Beta version of that software, hopefully coming this summer for next year. Looks promising, and I hope we get it before next school year starts.
Spending the day at #IFLLEX w/ @fcpsoit. My first session was with James Allen talking about Google’s Looker Studio. Powerful tool that looks fun to dive into for sharing data in an engaging way.

Finishing my day at #IFLLEX with @AmberPearDeck sharing about Pear Assessment. Pretty sure I’ll be using this and sharing with my colleagues for this coming year!
Now back to @JerryBroyles1 for my 6th session of #IFLLEX, where he’s showing us how to use our IFPs for Interactive Dice Games. Jerry knows all things IFP, namely MyViewsonic Whiteboard.
My 4th session of #IFLLEX was very math focused, but it gave me courage to mess around with making my own activities on @Desmos, not just using prepared things.
Enjoyed my 3rd session of #IFLLEX with @JerryBroyles1 on “AI-Powered Lessons”. Great ideas on how to leverage AI to help me plan and do lessons in the classroom.
2nd session of #IFLLEX for me is “Technology Addiction and Surprising Solutions”. Lots of great information about addiction in general, we’ll see what the application is here as he wraps it up.
In my final session of #KySTE24 with @mechelle428 on 5 AI tools she has vetted. But, already loving the feature of @canva she shared of using your phone as a remote to control for your presentation. #GoBeyond
Starting Day 3 of #KySTE24 with @ChristieLynn48 and SEL through Digital Creation. Loved the Book Creator and @adobe Animator ideas. Definitely using one with my mentor group soon! #GoBeyond
