Ever caught yourself missing something important because you got distracted by something else? It’s rarely by chance. In an attention economy, it’s by design.
An important (and perhaps timely) reminder: Of all the principles of deception a magician uses, misdirection is the most effective and we aren’t the only vocation using it.
Pay attention to what you’re paying attention to.
@craigmlove I’ve never been a coffee drinker. Have never had it other than tasting my grandmother’s as a kid and hated it. Admittedly, it has made avoidance easier.
The book “Why We Sleep” and how adenosine works in the body is a convincing case for a no-caffeine life.
@craigmlove 99%, yes. With few exceptions, one of which is if I need to stay safe like a late night drive, in which I’ll have a little caffeine.
Benefits: Saves money. More natural energy. No addiction, which=more freedom. Ability to function + create when others “haven’t had their coffee.”
