On July 13th, 15 of our pupils enjoyed a studio tour of The Making of Harry Potter. Pupils represented the school wonderfully while exploring the scenes of the movie.
Our annual Sports Day was a fantastic celebration of teamwork, determination and school spirit. Pupils gave their all in a range of track and field events, demonstrating resilience, enthusiasm and excellent sportsmanship throughout the day.

On July 10th, 8 of our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors hosted the Stop the Hate Conference organised by the Basildon Twinning Group. Pupils gave speeches to members of the local community about their own experiences and ideas on how we can work together to challenge bullying.
On July 8th, a small group of our pupils enjoyed an educational city sightseeing bus tour. This trip allowed pupils to learn about the city's history and culture.

As part of this year's Year 10 Work Experience, 30 pupils took part in a project with Ipeco who are an Aviation company based at Southend Airport.
Pupils were tasked to create a presentation marketing Ipeco products to the rest of the class.
On June 27th, some of our APT pupils performed at the Feat and Fayre, Horndon on the Hill.
Pupils have been working with the complete Commedia dell'Arte company since April building an understanding of the famous art of comedy from the 17th centre.
On June 20th, our STEM Club, AROE Apex, took part in the STEM On Track National Finals, where students proudly raced the kart that they had spent the past academic year designing and building.

Auditions for APT Drama, Music and Dance
Open to Years 7-9
Drama - Activity Studio on Monday 29th June, 15:20pm-17:00pm.
Music - Music Corridor on 29th + 30th June and 1st July at Lunch Time.
Dance - Activity Studio on Wednesday 1st July, 15:15pm-16:45pm.
On June 10th, some of our Sustainability club pupils visited Hyde Hall. Pupils explored the 300-acre garden, planted seeds and learnt all about green career opportunities.

Year 11 Leavers
With shirt signing and a celebration assembly, the day was full of laughter and tears as pupils said goodbye to their favourite teachers and Woodlands School.
A massive well done to the year group for everything they have and will achieve.

Over the past month, pupils across the school have been taking part in Sustainability Club's Photography Challenge, with the theme "Celebrating the Natural World."
