Inspected the ongoing works at Ithaeni Community Hospital, which will expand access to essential healthcare services for a catchment population of about 8,000 residents.
The facility will include Maternal and Child Health (MCH) services, a maternity and labour ward, emergency delivery room, mini-theatre, kitchen and laundry facilities.
Once completed, the facility will bring essential services closer to Mwananchi, particularly maternal and emergency care, reducing the need to travel long distances to access healthcare
During my tour of Kathiani Sub-County, I witnessed the impressive value addition of orange-fleshed sweet potatoes by Ithaeni Cluster farmers under the Mbuni na Mbesa Makwasini Project.
From chips and crisps to packaged tubers, leaves and vines, farmers are turning this nutritious crop into food, animal feed and income opportunities.
This is exactly what we mean by Chakula Mezani, Pesa Mfukoni—supporting our farmers to produce, add value and earn more.
The Ithaeni Umbrella Boda Boda Group, comprising four sub-groups with over 100 members, has benefited from a car wash machine and a 10,000-litre water tank, both supporting the group’s operations.
Operational for over six months, the initiative has created an additional income stream for local youth, increased revenue within the Boda Boda sector and strengthened livelihoods through practical economic empowerment.

Thanks Your Excellency for this.
@hon_Makau Mwitika is more popular than u, that's number one.
Number two, mentioning Her Excellency Governor Hon Wavinya Ndeti in all your statements will never amount to an additional vote, u just help tell the strength in Her and the impossibility ahead of you in your attempts.
