🇺🇸 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞, 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐞𝐲 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐦 (𝟏𝟗𝟓𝟓–𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔)

Today, the Republican Party and all of America mourns the loss of a true patriot. Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina passed away last night at the age of 71 after a brief and sudden illness.

For over two decades, Senator Graham served the people of South Carolina and our great nation with unwavering dedication. A fierce defender of a strong America, a steadfast ally of President Trump, and a champion for our military men and women — his voice on the Senate floor will be deeply missed.

Senator Graham devoted his life to public service and never stopped fighting for the values we hold dear: a strong national defense, a secure border, and an America that leads on the world stage.

Our prayers go out to his family, friends, and the people of South Carolina during this incredibly difficult time.

🇺🇸𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲– it’s always a special day but this year we are all experiencing July 4 in a deeper way. I hope you are all feeling an intense realization that we live in the greatest country on earth. American Exceptionalism is real – not just because of our beautiful scenery, vast resources, and great people, although those things do make us special. America is exceptional because of all countries on earth, our nation alone was founded on ideas. Our rights come from God. Our Constitution secures these rights. Americans are free to accomplish anything if they are willing to take their God-given talents and use them. We are a nation of laws, not because they are decreed by a monarch or dictator, but because “We the People” through our representatives make our own laws. We are strong because our military fights to protect our nation and our ideals. Because we are a free people, there are no boundaries to hold us back. Generations of inventors and entrepreneurs have given us the greatest standard of living on earth.

Two hundred and fifty years ago Americans met in Philadelphia and declared, through our Declaration of Independence, that we were a free and independent country, that we were no longer subjects of the British Crown. They forged a new government for a new nation, pledging (and in most cases losing) their “lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor.” We owe a debt of gratitude to our Founders, and to all the men and women who came after them to build and protect our nation, in times of war and in times of peace. May we all rededicate ourselves to the United States of America, and as Abraham Lincoln said, “that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom—and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.”

Let us all celebrate America’s 250th birthday in every way possible, but while we are celebrating, let’s rededicate ourselves to doing our part to preserve this great nation. God Bless America!

Our most gracious and Holy God, we honor and glorify You today on this, our 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫.

May we always be mindful that You are the Creator and our Father God. You identify each of us as Your children who are called by Your name. You equip us with purpose and courage, and You love each individual beyond measure.

We are grateful for this nation where You have blessed us with liberties and freedoms designed and established by our founding fathers. Liberties so precious that our patriotic veterans have fought courageously to defend and secure them even with their very lives.

As we pray today for America, whose pledge of allegiance recounts that we are “𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐝,” and whose currency states that it is “𝐈𝐍 𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐖𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐒𝐓,” we thank You, God, that Your hand is still upon our nation, and on each American. We pray sincerely that all may have a personal encounter with You, Lord, the God who rules over our country.

God, You have said, “𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝.” May this be a new era for America, as we humble ourselves and acknowledge You alone as our Savior and Lord.

Father, we praise and thank You for Your goodness to our nation, giving us blessings far beyond what we deserve.

We fully understand that all is not right with America at this time. We deeply need a moral and spiritual renewal to help us meet the many challenges we face. Set our feet on the path of Your righteousness and Your perfect peace.

Father, please protect our country from the division that challenges our ability to live lives pleasing to You. Defend the vulnerable, and bring justice to those who have suffered injustice.

Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We humbly beseech you, God, to forgive our sins, and to help those in power to turn from their wicked ways. Deliver us from evil, O Lord. We ask you once again, to heal and bless our land, our Republic, our beloved America.

The National Federation of Republican Women is thankful that no innocent person was harmed and that no member of law enforcement was injured during the incident at Mar-a-Lago early this morning. According to public reports citing the U.S. Secret Service and local authorities, an armed individual unlawfully entered the secure perimeter near the property’s north gate around 1:30 a.m. and was shot and killed by Secret Service personnel and a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputy after refusing commands and raising a shotgun; President Donald J. Trump was not at Mar-a-Lago at the time.

Our prayers are with President Trump and the Trump family. We are proud of the U.S. Secret Service and the law enforcement officers who responded swiftly and professionally to neutralize the threat, and we are grateful for their continued vigilance in keeping protectees and the public safe as the investigation proceeds.
