It’s funny seeing Hearts fans and a few football accounts on here acting like they’re not bothered about McInnes leaving, convincing themselves they’ll get someone better and any success they had last season was down to their player trading software.
This is a manager who just delivered their highest ever top flight points total and without the usual refereeing fear factor around Celtic, they’d likely be champions.
Let’s be honest, if Hearts had been allowed to win that league, nobody would be pretending they’re fine with him going.
The level of faith being put into this new JTA “model” is pure hubris. You’re replacing someone who knows Scottish football inside out with what will probably be a foreign appointment who doesn’t fully grasp the league, its quirks, or the demands of the fans. Even JBA at Motherwell had issues with this too despite an incredible season for them.
There’s a reason Rangers have struggled domestically for so long with these project managers and why we’ve finally went the tried and tested route.
This is the reality Hearts are now facing too.
Stop kidding yourselves on.
