I'm reviving my account with a new #gamedev project that I'm working on in #godot. It's a traditional roguelike/rpg mix (so no permadeath/procgen)
Just created this lil' goblin guy. I'm totally bad at pixel art but I try!
I return to a bit of #gamedev and crikey, what is happening to @GameMakerEngine. Forums are down, Mac playtesting is goosed, and now legacy logins are dead. Did I pick a bad time to come back? ๐
I find myself working on Senra again... I just can't drop it! Redoing all the UI (still WIP) after redrawing the forest areas. Here's a quick before (right)/after (left).

Had to extend the server to read level files, parse entities, and then pass their states to all clients in the room. But hey, tin rocks to mine! Now I need an inventory, and items...

A multiplayer prototype built over the weekend in #godot. Tilemaps are pulled from the server so they can be updated without downloading a new client binary.
Was a nice little project and had a tonne of fun with this ๐

Spent the day redrawing the forest-y area in Senra. Now I'm thinking about further extending my #gms2 RPG framework, amongst a few other ideas... #gamedev#indiedev
Don't forget to test thoroughly before shipping a "minor" update. Almost shipped an update for Senra+ with a bug that causes stats to remain unchanged when levelling up. ๐ #gamedev
Senra+ got a small updated (v1.1.0)
- New dialogue box theme.
- Additional support for WASD
- Health bars for players/enemies in battle
- Redesigned title
- Ducks.

Godot's MarginContainer never worked the way I expected and I hated it. I just had a huge facepalm moment upon discovering the margin behaviour I was after is under Custom Constants. Not to be confused with, well... Margin. ๐คฏ
