🩸 It’s #NationalBloodWeek, a chance to celebrate one of the country’s biggest volunteering forces: all our donors!
To every single person who has donated blood with the NHS – THANK YOU.
Your selfless acts help save and improve lives across the nation every day. ❤️
Choosing the best healthcare service for your needs enables us to make sure that we are available to help those with life-threatening illnesses or injuries.
Use our graphic to help you make the right choice this winter.
Thank you to the over 750 volunteers who gave their time to teach CPR at schools today.
This included off-duty ambulance staff, Community First Responders and volunteers from partner organisations.
#RestartaHeart Day would not be possible without you!
Our 11th #RestartaHeart Day has come to a close, with 35,000 students from 172 schools having learnt CPR in a day - thank you to all who participated and can now save a life.
We’re counting down to #RestartaHeart Day on October 16 when we’ll visit 170 secondary schools across Yorkshire, ensuring more than 35,000 students are #CPRConfident.
Think and Act F.A.S.T. if you see any signs of a stroke:
Face – has their face fallen on one side? Can they smile?
Arms – can they raise both arms and keep them there?
Speech – is their speech slurred?
Time – even if you’re not sure, call 999.
This #InternationalParamedicsDay we’re highlighting the many ways our frontline clinicians make a difference, from responding to life-threatening emergencies to providing comfort to patients and their loved ones in their hour of need.

On #InternationalMensDay, we are celebrating the positive value that men of all ages - our employees and our volunteers - bring to communities across Yorkshire in their time of need.
Yesterday, Steve, who is a Paramedic, attended the Royal Festival of Remembrance in London.
Ahead of the event, Steve said: "As one of only two Paramedics representing the UK NHS Ambulance Services, I feel extremely honoured and humbled to be chosen."
