“Too many disabled people wait months for basic adjustments that would help them perform their jobs well. This is not always a process problem. It is a leadership and respect problem.” https://t.co/MILoITKKG5
The day after the Arsenal Champions Parade, I was on BBC Radio London with my mate @EddieNestorMBE, and @EllaCotton (not enough characters to describe her), and @10akhil from the AST (far more sensible than me 😂)

“That is what endometriosis can do: remove choices. It is a thief. Sometimes it steals from you in broad daylight - ruining plans and preventing you from doing your job.”

Thank you @HinaBokhariLD for calling on @MayorofLondon to co-produce all aspects of the Oxford Street pedestrianisation project with Deaf and Disabled Londoners 👇
'Nothing about us without us' is not just a slogan.
We're calling for Parliament to follow the Equality Act and start including people with learning difficulties when making laws that affect them.

Everyone should be able to enter and exit their home safely, but broken lifts and lack of evacuation equipment can leave residents trapped. In the event of a fire, this can cost lives.
We are disappointed to hear that this has happened once again. We will be in touch. We have a housing assembly this Saturday which Trident Point residents are welcome to attend.
Last week, both lifts in our building broke down on the hottest days of the year, so far.
We applaud @LFBHarrow for the exceptional response time, work, and professionalism. Helping a Disabled resident evacuate the building.
The building is managed by @MetTVH & @YY_Management
“New government research has proved disabled activists were right to warn that receiving employment advice on top of NHS talking therapy would push many people with mental distress further away from the jobs market.” https://t.co/JpIhS8pc7a
I’ve never received 150 calls before 9:30am.
Friends outside my flat. Family checking in. And the world class London Fire Brigade (@LFBHarrow in particular) carrying me downstairs so I could make this journey. @InclusionLondon
📢 A CALL-OUT TO GOONERS IN HARROW 📢
I’m a wheelchair user and I have tickets to the UCL final, but since last night neither lift in my building has been working. My flight is at 8 pm & I need to leave my building at 3 pm latest. HELP! 😭 #Arsenal@InclusionLondon@LFBHarrow
This Grenfell anniversary, we remember the 72 lives lost, stand with survivors and bereaved families, and continue demanding justice and real change.

“Disabled people should not have to fight for the right to survive an emergency.”
Nine years after Grenfell, Deaf and Disabled people are still being failed on fire safety. We were promised lessons would be learned. Too many promises remain broken.

Remember. Honour. Demand Justice.

If your London DDPO has staff, trustees or volunteers who could be future leaders, look out for our next programme recruiting December 2026!
We're so proud of the newest graduates of our Growing Our Own Leaders programme!
