Our new paper is now out on @QuantSciTech! Magnetic gradiometers are the preferred sensor of MEG users, so we have built a truly intrinsic axial OPM gradiometer to match this need.
It also happens to be my first first-author paper! Hope you enjoy!

I had a blast last week @MEG_UKI_2024. It was a huge effort lead by the amazing @AndrewJohnQuinn.
I squeezed in two talks, one panel (with the amazing @YBezsudnova), and a poster! I was also lucky to have received two prizes for our poster and my art submission. @QN_lab
@HarryCook38 dangerously straying off topic to talk about combining his optically-pumped gradiometer with non-invasive brain stimulation.
(just kidding, we love TMS - it's magnetic after all!)
Today's sponsor shoutout: @Brainbox_Neuro
Brainbox specialise in tailored and integrated non-invasive brain stimulation and brain imaging solutions including TMS, tES, TUS, Neuronavigation, EMG, EEG, fNIRS and more.
They have also generously sponsored the MEG-UKI poster prize.
Today's sponsor shoutout: @FieldLineInc
FieldLine Medical will be available throughout MEG-UKI at their exhibitor booth. They are keen to talk to you about their wearable HEDscan MEG system, including high density helmet and configurable user interface.
Looking forward to it!
🎨🚨 Art Alert 🚨🎨
Last few days to make an entry into the #MEGUKI2024 Art Competition!
A chance for you to showcase your hidden talents, creative masterpieces or fun visualisations to display during the conference.
(also... prizes!)

Today's sponsor shoutout: @meetmegin
MEGIN have over 30 years experience in MEG and neuroimaging. They're keen to talk to people and are offering bookable product demos of their new MEG Maps Platform with their product team.
We hope you enjoy interacting with them!
In the run up to MEG-UKI we will be signposting our sponsors and exhibitors.
First up - @MAG4Health: These folks develop quantum-based tech for detection of 🧠 disorders.
They are particularly keen to talk about their whole-head OPM-MEG system, now up and running @Aston_IHN.
STOP PRESS!
Registration for MEG-UKI is now CLOSED
HOWEVER
Due to a last-minute venue change, several extra tickets have become available for QMAG (physics of OPMs) and QMEG (neuroscience of OPMs).
Apply now! This will close again soon! https://t.co/Jf2ctntRiK
🚨RED ALERT🚨
Today is the LAST day to register to MEG-UKI 2024.
QMAG and QMEG are now SOLD OUT.
Tickets are still available for MEG-UKI here:

We're looking forward to welcoming you to @unibirmingham@UoB_SoP@TheCHBH in a few weeks!
We used RSA to decode representations of the NEXT word while fixating on the current word. We provide strong and direct evidence for parallel processing, and suggested a new method for investigating natural reading: RSA+MEG/EEG +Eye tracking.
✨Keynote announcement! ✨
We are excited to announce that our day two keynote at MEG-UKI 2024 will be Professor Rik Henson @rikhens from the @mrccbu University of Cambridge!
Prof Henson researches cognition and memory and how this changes in old age and dementia.
What a lineup!
I’ll be speaking at QMAG and MEGUKI about the world of gradiometers.
Also, @YBezsudnova and I are hosting an OPM panel for QMEG. You don’t want to miss it!
Last day for early-bird registration is today!!
Who says festival season is over? 🎸📷🥁
Presenting the hottest lineup in town!
We're so excited to welcome these speakers to @unibirmingham on October 28th-31st for QMAG, QMEG and MEG-UKI 2024.
Stay tuned: We may be adding some Special Guests to this lineup soon😉
