Last year, the North Atlantic Ocean was very warm. Every day, the climate panicans were posting sea surface temperature charts and hyperventilating over them being at record highs (since the early 1980s). This year, the same cast of characters are pretty silent. I wonder why?

Earlier today, the Polish parliament observed a moment of silence in memory of the murdered Henry Nowak and all victims of anti-white racism.
You can always count on Poland.
@DanKingdom96 Agree completely. No one who saw him batting at number 11, on one leg & still score 46 v. Surrey in 2024, (let alone his 371 last year), could doubt his commitment to the Club. Something doesn't make sense here.
@SomersetCCC@CountyChamp Don’t get this. After just a few T20 games, can hardly be burnout.
Tom busts a gut to play for Somerset. Remember his 46 with a broken (ankle ?) at Taunton v Surrey in September 2024.
Very odd.
Remember at the election Miliband promised ‘Great British Energy’ would cut bills for good.
Instead, his hand-picked boss Jürgen Maier has already quit.
Miliband promised us £8.3 billion fund. Then Rachel Reeves raided that - taking £2.5 billion away to fix nuclear project issues.
Maier fell out with Miliband because he wanted to keep North Sea drilling going to protect British jobs.
Miliband slapped him down because it went against his rigid rules.
GBE's first big project was putting solar panels on public buildings. That sounded nice until the project faced heavy criticism for using parts linked to forced labour in China.
But it’s all a big lie isn’t it -
GBE does not actually sell electricity to homes. It is just a slow, state investment fund. It will not directly lower a single household energy bill.
With Maier gone, Miliband is now looking for a new boss. But changing the face won't fix the real problem.
Great British Energy isn't a powerhouse.
It is just an expensive piece of political theatre.
Courtesy of Ed Miliband.
( Telegraph has an article on the Maier resignation)
@piersmorgan@benstokes38 He’s 35, he’s Captain of England & he led us in the disastrous Ashes series, following which restrictions were put in place, to which he agreed.
‘Not me guv’, isn’t good enough.
At the very least his judgement has - once again - been shown to be flawed.
@Ed_Miliband@jreynoldsMP@LabourSJ UK energy under Ed Milliband. Contributing more to Norways fossil fuel funded $2 Trillion state wealth fund, every single day. No wonder their Energy Minister thinks you’re nuts. Utter lunacy.
@antgib@bbcbristolsport Indeed. Our season to date has been characterised by 1) injuries and 2) losing games we should have won. We’ve badly lost focus & whatever our bowling strategy was yesterday, it was very well hidden. Our lack of adequate bowling resources was highlighted by many over the winter.
This was brilliant. Trevor Phillips played a clip of what Keir Starmer said about George Floyd and displayed how Labour MPs expressed their “anger”.
David Lammy said it was fine because they were in opposition.
But not fine for Nigel Farage to use the term “rage” like they did.
Sky's @TrevorPTweets, a former head of the Commission for Racial Equality, says he feel "rage" because the Henry Nowak case is one of many examples of "misjudgements about people based on their race leading to a young life being cut short."
He shares three other examples ⬇️
The Somerset Farmhouse of 1 North Street, Williton were approached by a "food influencer" that wanted to charge them £2,000 for a review.
They put out a video of Sally eating a sausage roll instead 😆.
Lets make Sally and the Somerset Farmhouse famous for free.
@DPJHodges No idea who will win at Makerfield (both main candidates are pretty uninspiring tbh).
But when it come to lecturing (& spinning), you seem to be doing quite a bit yourself these days Dan !
