@OlgunUluc Delly and Kay….who are past it, slow and prone to brain farts in over Thybulle (length, athleticism and speed) and Goulding (shooting- missing at WC) is Outrageous….Gorj has lost the plot
@BHillSport@therugbycolumn Yep simular to most SR crowds for SR in Aus, mostly due to the large number of NZers that live here and not from genuine interest from Australians (the problem). SRAU could create that interest while still maintaining NZ games with the championship style comp. Best of both worlds
@therugbycolumn 2/2 REP teams to compete in champion cup could be Green and gold made up of the 5 teams. But this takes away from the possibility of promotion and regulation that brings genuine interest to the game. Either way playing more games is the key I believe.
@therugbycolumn 1/2 100% but the marketing SRAU can’t be refered as the 3rd tier comp, no other code we compete against sells domestic comp as a 3rd tier (nrl 1st inter 2nd SOO 3rd nrl perm). major draw card for aus viewers has to be SRAU then championship style with Japan & NZ treated like SOO
@therugbycolumn with experience that comes with more games. secondly, need a huge investment in grassroots / school system to retaining our younger players from being poached from NRL or overseas. More games = more money on
offer to TV rights, more experience and basic skill and IQ development
@therugbycolumn no causal aus fan have any interest in NZ teams atm (why I think super au was so successful). Then champions cup style comp with 2 divs with the Japanese league, NZ. Ensure that our players are playing same amount of games as European counterparts to hone basic skill and rugby IQ
The Australian Boomers defeat Team USA 91-83 to move to 2-0 at the pre-Olympic exhibition game circuit in Las Vegas. USA drops to 0-2. Immaculate second half defence from Australia.
