I have to admit. This is the best boys basketball game I’ve seen all year!
GW’s Noah Lewis and South’s Harry Silvis are doing everything they can for their team, and it’s making for a fantastic game!
George Washington defeated Parkersburg South 81-72 in the MSAC Championship Game, led by Noah Lewis with a game-high 33 points. South got a team-best 28 points from Harry Silvis & 27 from Taj Joyce, who averaged 30 ppg in his two games this week. #wvprepbb#wvboysbb
He shies away from the spotlight because he’s a team-first guy, but it’s important to recognize a special moment.
It’s been fun @silvisharry07 & it’s been an honor to have a front row seat. I’m looking forward to everything that’s still to come. Congratulations!
Congrats @silvisharry07 for becoming Parkersburg South Boys Basketball Career Scoring Leader.
Special thanks to Coach Camp, Coach Crislip, Coach Edman, and Matt Shamblin for helping us celebrate the occasion.

Harry Silvis (@silvisharry07 ) has turned scoring into an art form in West Virginia, and nights like these are exactly why he’s considered one of the most dangerous buckets in the state. The versatile guard brings thunder every time he steps on the court, combining relentless energy with lethal shooting that can flip a game in a flash. Give him a sliver of space, and it’s trouble. Stay tight, and he still finds a way. Every possession feels like it’s leaning toward his hands, because he knows how to take over stretches without forcing the moment.
On the night he was honored for joining the 1000-point club, Silvis delivered a performance that matched the moment and then some. Against George Washington, the number one team in the WVSACA 4A polls, he exploded for 30 points to help lead Parkersburg South to a massive upset of one of the toughest teams to beat. The crowd had barely settled before he was already in rhythm, raining shots, attacking gaps, and keeping constant pressure on a defense that had no answers. It was a statement win and a milestone night rolled into one.
He followed that up by torching Parkersburg’s cross-town rivals with another commanding performance. In a 63-47 win, Silvis dropped 22 points, with 19 of them coming in the second half. When the game needed control, he provided it. When momentum needed a shove, he delivered it. The ability to rise late and close strong separated that night, showing just how comfortable he is when the lights get brighter.
What makes Harry even more dangerous is that the scoring comes within the flow. He can hurt you from deep, with the middy, or at the rim, all while making the right plays on both ends of the floor. His intensity, awareness, and willingness to compete defensively keep him locked into the game even when the ball is not in his hands. That two-way presence is why he is constantly a problem and why opponents circle his name every time the schedule comes out.
One milestone down, momentum fully rolling, and plenty of noise still left to make. Harry ain't just scoring points. He’s setting nights on fire.
