They @CitImmCanada may have felt a sense of pride in developing a smart tool called "OPT-IN" to automatically extend the 2023 PGWP, but it seems they failed to conduct proper testing before it's implementation. When they started receiving complaints about work permits with shorter validity periods instead of the full 18 months from the original work permit expiry date, they chose not to acknowledge their mistake or take corrective measures. Instead, they updated the page in a sneaky manner with new information yesterday. This is an unfortunate situation.
