@moneymaker7723@wholemars My guess is that we will see humanoid robots working on the moon in 10-15 years, preparing a low risk, livable, environment for humans.
@t_rkish@wholemars Yes. It seems so hard for so many people to think in terms of statistics and that life is painted in shades of gray, not black and white.
@Russ__ATX@wholemars FSD has been driving me to all of my chores around my neighborhood for several months now. Supervision is more a legal than practical requirement. My only complaint is that it can't read my mind to park exactly where I'd like it to.
@Maximumatheist As an atheist, I'm bothered by memes like this that start by granting the premise that such things as gods exist. How would you even know that any entity that shows up and claims to be a "god" actually is one? How do you define the word?
@___TheGOOdWitch Many of these points are true about many religions, but not all are true about all religions. The Jains, for example, can't be said to promote violence.
@elseagee Cute but not quite accurate. You may not be a full on socialist (who wants to bury capitalism). You may be a social democrat, who wants to keep capitalism but regulate thoroughly for the good of the public.
@___TheGOOdWitch "Catalyst" might be a better word here than "source". The mechanisms for hating others are deep in our psyches. Religion brings them to the surface and sets them ablaze.
@giovanni75 The issue is that the Muslim professes a faith that advocates amputation for theft, death for apostasy, hijab wearing for woman, etc. He/she may not personally believe all of this, but when why profess a religion that does?
@TheSkepticWiz I'd rather not "believe" anything, but instead go with what is most probably true based on the evidence, remaining forever skeptical in case new evidence appears.
