Update: Neonic exemption licence applied for 2025/26 ⚠️
Neonicotinoids are harmful water-soluble chemicals that leach into the wider landscapes, and @DefraGovUK have no idea how much of it is in use, or where. All while butterflies are dying. 🧵(1/3)

You can threaten & seek to intimidate me but you will never silence me when it comes to seeking to protect the stray dogs of Turkey. Their pain & suffering shames Turkey 🇹🇷 @RTErdogan@imamoglu_int#Turkey
Just found this on my feed . . .
Well , I’d rather spend every breath trying to do something than waste a lifetime doing nothing
And ultimately - you never know . . . worms turn , sometimes on a sixpence

This scene exposes the UK population decline of swifts. A joy & relief but also💔to know what a thriving local population looks like versus the reality in the UK.Who’s seen as many swifts as this lately? @ZacGoldsmith @SharonStevenage @mtpennycook
Hard to believe its Britain. Lizards in the long grass. Orchids sprouting through. Red deer are the kings in this valley with beavers their willing allies. One day soon wildcats will join them. Martens will find a way. Demoiselles and emperors purr above its extending swamps.
Call me sad, but this photo brings me such joy. I hate fences. Almost obsessively. After 30 years, this is the last visually and physically intrusive fence removed from our farm. It’s a tiny piece of a much bigger jigsaw, but I feel better! #MakingRewildingHappen#Northwoods
BIG thanks to @beverleyturner and @toryboypierce for giving swifts airtime today on @GBNEWS 🤩WE need to ensure our elected govt mandate swift bricks - without them there’s NO nesting habitat for swifts in the UK&there never will be. Write to your MP. Now.
This is a wonderfully simple visual of how targeted the extinctions in the late Quaternary were…
(“Target” is a deliberate word choice. Can’t believe some people still doubt we did this)
Not #conservation in the way we're all used to - but positive stuff imo.
Old buildings are important for local Sparrow, Starling and bat populations, so conserving them + surrounding trees at least slightly future-proofs them 🤞

🌱 This is a peaceful march in London to take a message to politicians that nature can be saved, but only if they take action now
Everyone's welcome to join - find out more & pledge your support👇 https://t.co/fStFSDDrTR
