On August 24th, our former Chairman Andrew Oxton and his family were involved in a sudden and devastating freak fire accident at a friend’s home. Where himself and his wife have suffered severe, life altering injuries.

Please can we ask you to take the time to read the GoFund Me page which has very kindly been set up by Kate’s brother. Any donation you can make will really help ease their financial burden during this tough time.

Ox and his family are beloved members of the Liphook United FC family, they have done so much for our Club and community, it’s time for us to look after them! 💙💙

We’re delighted to confirm that Harry Dowell — affectionately known as “Milk” — is staying with the club for the upcoming season! ⚽ A technically gifted player with composure and class on the ball, Harry brings creativity and control to the heart of the pitch.

𝗙𝗧 | Liphook United FC 2️⃣ @overtonunited 2️⃣ (Pens 4-2)

We started poor, we allowed Overton to play. We didn't get close enough and we were punished early on. Once we went down 1-0, we started to grow into the game and we started to play out from the back with Grindel and Doweller showing their range of passing.

We got back into the game with a well worked goal that started from the back and finished off by the big no.9 Henry from a deep cross by Blaise. A goal that was well deserved from Henry.
Henry was involved once again on the counter attack that saw him assist Luca with a smart finish at the back post.

After going 2-1 up, we were caught slipping from a corner. We failed to clear the ball and allowed the opposing player to have a free shot that was deflected off their own player and into the back of the net. 2-2 at half time.

Second half was very different, we controlled the game. As the game went on we carried on putting the pressure on Overton. We just couldn't find that final ball to create a match winning chance. All credit to Overton who defended well and had a handful of chances on the counter attack. Final whistle blew and straight to penalties it was.

Overton stepping up first and missing, and Casey making a superb save for their second. Allowing TB, Keir, Luca and Ollie to put their penalties away and give us the win, taking us to the next round of the @HantsLeague Cup.

Best of luck to Overton for the rest of season.

Luca made an impact from the 1st minute to the last. He worked extremely hard on and off the ball and showed great quality when on the ball.

On a day full of rain and hardworking volunteers to get the game on, saw us run comfortable winners at the rec.

We started the first half well with playing good football and showing our quality. Using the conditions to our favour by moving the ball quickly allowed us to go 2 goals up by half time thanks to Char 'The Wasp' Crook.
Second half started the same as the first, high pressure defensively and moving the ball quickly once again had us 3-0 up thanks to Josh Marshall. Then a missed penalty and a sloppy 15 minutes allowed Paulsgrove to punish our defensive mistakes changing the game to 3-2.
Enter Reece Beattie, lethal in front of goal and proving just that today. Two chances, two goals. Game over. Finishing 5-2, we move to the top of the @HantsLeague after other results going our way.

Doweller played out of position today, he showed his range of passing with quality defending throughout his game.

We thank @PaulsgroveFC for the game and we look forward to welcoming @HookFC1903 to the rec on Bank Holiday Monday.

𝗙𝗧 | Liphook United FC 5️⃣ @HedgeEndRangers 1️⃣

Fully deserved win today, great to bounce back from a disappointing result midweek.

We started well, got ahead with a penalty from our Captain, Tom Bedford. Conceded a sloppy goal from a corner and rest of the 1st half was frantic and scrappy.

2nd half we came out strong, our midfield two of Keir Robinson and Harry Dowell controlled the game and kept us on the attack. Once we went ahead with Keir Hammond’s goal and our substitions made a huge impact with Max Todd and Ollie Hamilton (x2) getting on the score sheet to finish the game.

Great result for the club and we look forward to our first local derby of the season on Tuesday night.

Man of the Match - Tom Bedford 🏆
TB was strong defensively. Lead by example, full captain’s performance topped off with a goal.

Also a fantastic 6-1 win for our Reserves against @ColdenCommonFC Reserves in their opening fixture!
