The goal of life should be to reach a place in life where you are secure in 90% of the rooms you are in, where you don’t care what you are wearing, or what you are speaking, but there should be 10% of rooms where you should feel insecure in. Where you are double checking how you are perceived. Where you prepare your conduct.

That keeps the hunger alive, without burning you out. That propels you forward. Both rooms are important. In that ratio. To keep the balance.

I was talking to one of the other ladies who got the Most Powerful Women award from @FortuneIndia and she pointed something out

She said a few months ago at a business leaders awards, almost all the male winners had their wives accompany them and obviously applaud their achievement

She said: Did you notice that at this award function I cannot think of a single woman who came with her husband (maybe there were a few that we missed... at least hoping that was the case)

But yes women were, by and large, either alone or with their mothers, sons, daughters...even brothers and sisters (she is married but she was there with her sister; I am single and was there with my brother) but no visible spouses applauding the women - even for women in their 40s

Once you see that you cannot unsee it

Real life evidence of how husbands are not really happy when their wives succeed and are not part of the cheerleader squad - data studies in the US (and India will not be better for sure) show that on the average, men don't feel good at the core when their wife succeeds (unlike women who are genuinely happy when their husbands do well)... This was stark evidence

More is the pity

IPL TV viewership reportedly down 26%. @BCCI should take it seriously as IPL has become a batting exhibition instead of a cricket contest.

A few fixes:
- Balanced pitches where bowlers matter
- Rethink the Impact Player rule
- Stronger fan engagement by franchises
- Better stadium experience: toilets, seating, food, access

Cricket is most exciting when there is uncertainty and balance… not just 225 vs 225 every night.

Two biggest mistakes because of which 99% of Indians don't create wealth:
